Mental Health and trauma

Neurodiversity

With extensive experience across psychological therapy, mental health and specialist clinical services, I work with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, emotional difficulties and complex life experiences. My approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing on my training and experience in approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT and Compassion Focused Therapy. I aim not simply to reduce distress, but to help people understand their experiences, develop effective coping skills and build resilience, acceptance and a better quality of life.

I have particular expertise in adult Autism and ADHD, including comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment and psychological support following diagnosis. I am especially interested in presentations that can be subtle, masked or historically overlooked, including those seen in women and intellectually gifted people. My approach is neuroaffirmative and considers the whole person, carefully exploring development, strengths, difficulties and the potential overlap between neurodivergence, trauma, anxiety and other mental health experiences.

Consultantancy and clinical  Supervision

Trainer

I provide clinical supervision and psychological consultation to psychologists, therapists and other professionals working with neurodivergence, trauma, mental health and complex clinical presentations. My approach to supervision is collaborative and reflective, providing a space to think critically about formulation, differential diagnosis, therapeutic work, risk, ethical practice and professional development. I aim to support clinicians in developing confidence while retaining curiosity, compassion and sound clinical judgement.

I provide specialist training for clinicians, multidisciplinary teams and organisations in areas including Autism, ADHD, trauma, mental health and psychologically informed practice. Drawing on clinical experience across different countries, cultures and services, I aim to make psychological knowledge both rigorous and genuinely useful in practice. My training encourages professionals to move beyond diagnostic labels and protocols towards a deeper understanding of the individual, translating evidence and theory into thoughtful, compassionate and effective clinical practice.

My Philosophy

In my view, genuine psychological work starts with making the person feel truly seen and understood. I aim to gain a full understanding of the individual, their experiences, strengths, difficulties and particular way of viewing the world, and I combine my knowledge of psychology with compassion, acceptance and practical support so that people may build up their resilience, cope with life’s challenges and achieve a more satisfying quality of life.
